How to upgrade MySQL
Back up first (mysqldump --all-databases), and read the release notes before moving to a new branch.

sudo dnf upgrade mysql-server Docker
docker pull mysql:9.7 Since 8.0.16 the server upgrades its system tables itself on first start; there's no separate mysql_upgrade step.
